Any stock 101 guide or tutorial will tell you talk about how the financial media affects the stock market. However, many don’t know how the financial media can affect the investor. The media is probably were most investors get their information from. It doesn’t matter if they get it from CNBC, local news, Wall Street Journal or the internet most investors will obtain their stock knowledge from these forms of media. Media has nearly conquered the world and has affected every aspect of life. And the stock market is no exception. Because of these media forms, stock knowledge continuously flows in and out of our heads and it’s difficult to understand what information is accurate and what isn’t. No matter how credible the source is, you can never know what information is right and what is wrong without doing your stock homework.
