Character Voices and Commercial Voiceovers
A Voiceover artist that becomes discouraged and disappointed does not assist themself to get any further in the business. Take all rejections and improve upon acting skills, character voices, and advertising voices. The voice talent can also create and draw their own character, in order to truly discover and become that character.
Discuss your character voices and commercial voices with the casting director. Ask him if there is anything you can do to make the voices stand out. Understand that a casting director picks another talent for specific reasons, and the only thing to do is to keep practicing and understand what directors are looking for.
Don’t become bitter and negative. This is a fun aspect of Hollywood, and it DOES take work. Keeping that optimistic attitude will only help, not inhibit your success.
